Sunspots
 |
During the spring and fall, sunspots often interfere with the cable TV signal. Sunspots occur when the sun blocks the signal between the satellite in the sky and the satellite receiver on the ground. The interference usually takes place in the afternoon between 2:00 and 4:00 and can be intermittent. Sunspots can cause poor TV signals or can make the signal go away completely. If you experience poor cable TV reception between March 1 and March 16, please consider that sunspots may be the cause. If the trouble is ongoing, please call RTC at 1.888.862.3115.
