RTC customers have reported receiving phone calls from scammers claiming to be family members and asking for money. The caller might say, "Hi Grandma, can you guess who this is?" Then when you respond with a name, the caller will claim to be that person. The conversation usually leads to the caller asking for money to be sent to them. RTC suggests that before giving out any information over the phone, including family members names and bank or credit card account information, make sure you know who you are talking to.
