The internet is a wonderful tool; however, it can also be a dangerous place if not used correctly. RTC is now offering internet safety presentations in the classroom for grades 3-6 and grades 7-12. We would also be happy to present them to your club or organization for children ages 8 to 11 or teens ages 12 to 18.
The elementary program teaches children that people on the Internet aren't always who they say they are. Unfortunately, there are people who use the internet for harmful purposes. We teach our children not to talk to strangers, but do they know this includes strangers on the internet?
The middle and high school program provides information on the risks of sharing personal information on the internet. Nearly two-thirds of high school students post photos and videos of themselves on social networking sites like MySpace or Facebook. Do our teenagers know that many colleges or prospective employers search the Internet before they accept or employ someone?
RTC cares about our customers and their children. We want to help you educate children and teens on how to be safe while they are using the internet. These presentations are fun and non-confrontational and we are glad to have the opportunity to present them to your children.
