Reservation Telephone Cooperative (RTC) held their 59th Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 24 in Parshall. Over 550 people attended the event.

The meal was catered by Myers Meats of Roseglen. There were display booths for attendees to view which included information on North Dakota One Call, Fiber-to-the-Home, and Video service. Keith Bear entertained the crowd prior to the meeting inside the Parshall Memorial Hall. The Country Crossings Daycare of Plaza provided child care during the meeting.

The meeting began with Dennis Kellar and Tim Jarski presenting the colors and Brett Westgard of Parshall providing the drum roll. John Warner sang the National Anthem and Joyce Aslakson accompanied him on the piano. Rev. Janis Sloka, III of Garrison gave the invocation.

The election of Directors was held during the meeting. Paul Wisness was re-elected Director for District 1A (Alexander, Arnegard, Keene, Squaw Gap, Watford City), Jeanette Hoff was re-elected Director for District 4 (Parshall, Plaza) and Barbara Steinmetz was elected Director for District 6 (Emmet, Garrison). All three were elected by unanimous ballot.

Katie Brandt of Ryder thanked the RTC Members on behalf of the scholarship winners for their RTC scholarships. Samantha Entzi thanked the RTC Members for her recent FRS Youth Tour to Washington D.C. Roger Hovda, Norlan Nelson and Alan Lerberg were recognized for their retirement with over 30 years of service at RTC. Various reports were given and prizes were given away throughout the meeting. Brendan Haakenson of Roseglen won the drawing for the children's bike. Shirley Norby of Keene won $500 cash and Geri Bratvold of New Town won one year of free local phone service.
